Continue Your Training With PADI Advanced Open Water
Getting your Open Water certification is the beginning of your diving journey.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver program is designed for certified divers who want to gain additional experience, expand their abilities and become more comfortable in different diving situations.
Advanced training is also an important step for divers interested in progressing into courses such as PADI Rescue Diver, specialty certifications and professional-level training.
Innerspace Watersports has been serving and training divers in Vernon and throughout the Okanagan since 1982, with training available for everyone from first-time divers through advanced and professional-level students.
PADI Rescue Diver — October 17 & 18
For divers ready for a bigger challenge, our upcoming PADI Rescue Diver Course takes place October 17 and 18.
The two-day program is designed to change the way you think about diving.
Rather than focusing only on your own skills, Rescue Diver training teaches you to become more aware of the people diving around you, recognize potential problems early and respond effectively when another diver needs assistance.
During the course you'll develop skills involving:
-
Surface and underwater rescue techniques
-
Recognizing and responding to diver stress
-
Assisting tired or panicked divers
-
Managing rescue situations at the surface and underwater
-
Building confidence when responding to diving emergencies
The course is $774.98 and includes PADI eLearning, all training and certification.
Rescue Diver Prerequisites
To participate in the Rescue Diver course, students must have:
-
PADI Advanced Open Water certification
-
First Aid Level 1 certification
First aid certifications through St. John’s or FACTS are accepted.
If you're interested in Rescue Diver but haven't completed Advanced Open Water yet, contact the Innerspace team and we can help you determine the best path forward.
New to Diving? Start With PADI Open Water
You don't need previous scuba experience to begin your diving journey.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first recreational scuba certification level and teaches the fundamentals you'll need to dive safely and confidently.
Open Water training through Innerspace Watersports includes knowledge development, confined-water training in our private pool facility and real open-water diving under instructor supervision.
Current Open Water tuition is $900 per diver plus tax and includes tuition, the PADI course, pool training, open-water training and knowledge development.
Once your required open-water dives have been successfully completed and approved by your instructor, you'll earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification and be ready to continue exploring locally or while travelling.
Don't Wait Until the Course Is Full
We're already receiving interest in upcoming training dates, and course sizes are limited so instructors can provide students with the attention they need.
If you've been thinking about continuing your training, now is the time to get in touch.
